The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Thank You Plastic Bag – Pink Foam” is one of two February 2021 colorways of the “Uptown” that show love to a New York City cultural icon: the “Thank You” plastic bag. Handed out at many bodegas and mom-and-pop restaurants across the city, the “Thank You” plastic bag isn’t necessarily the first thing you’d associate with New York City, but like the pigeon and subway cars, the doting bag is a staple in city living. A light shade of Pink Foam leather covers the entire upper, including the perforated toe and mid-panel, collar, and heel. The eye-pleasing hue can also be found on the Swoosh, mesh tongue, and laces. On the heel, an embroidered pink “Nike Air” logo is true to the original styling of the Air Force 1. The stacked “Nike” logo on the tongue tag references the repeating “Thank You” design found on the bag the colorway is inspired by. A floral motif is painted next to the “Air” detailing on the heel of the pink midsole as another nod to the “Thank You” bag. Release date: February 25, 2021.
